A Note from Don Frankenfeld

We call our web site the essential economic resource for lawyers. Maybe you arch your eyebrows at such a lofty claim. Yet with our state of the art interactive technology, our vast array of up-to-date economic information available at your fingertips, and our ability to draw upon the resources of hundreds of the nation's top litigators and economic experts, we expect to live up to that claim. Here are four reasons why we hope you become a regular user of our site.

First, you will be a better lawyer.

Our easy to use yet sophisticated damage calculation models will help you to quickly analyze and appraise your case. Suppose you have been retained to pursue a wrongful death claim. Simply answer the questions of FAI's "electronic interview" sheet, including such information as the decedents date of birth, gender, earning history and family status. Then press a button, and our sophisticated interactive program takes over. We use authoritative statistical tables to estimate life expectancy, earning capacity, and personal consumption expenditures. Based on these and other factors our model will present you with a detailed summary of estimated losses reduced to present value, complete with full color explanatory tables and graphs which you can download and print at your desktop. Later, if new information leads you to alter your assumptions, you can instantly revise your analysis.

When the time comes, you can search our comprehensive database to locate the right economic expert. Our database features more experts, and more information about each expert, than any other source. And when your adversary names an opposing expert, you can check out his or her dossier, including actual testimonial transcripts, to help you thoroughly prepare your cross examination.

Second, you will save time.

Our web site, with all its analytical power and its wealth of information, is available to you instantly, twenty-four hours a day. Instead of playing phone tag with an accountant or economist, and waiting hours, days or weeks for answers, you have your answers immediately. Better still, in less than half an hour, you can examine multiple "what-if" scenarios that otherwise would be impossible due to time constraints.

Third, you and your clients will save money.

Most of the resources on our site are available without charge. Our loss analysis service is available either on an economical pay-per-view basis, or by annual subscription which provides unlimited access. Either way, vital economic information will cost a mere fraction of what you would otherwise pay. In fact, since the subscription service means you can generate reports at no incremental cost, you can carefully analyze even relatively small cases in which an economic consultant or expert cannot be cost justified.

Fourth, your wish is our command.

If you have a particularly knotty economic question, or you are pursuing a theory in which you lack experience, submit your inquiry to our all-star discussion group. Experienced lawyers and economic experts will examine your question and weigh in with their comments and opinions. (Of course, we encourage you to volunteer your expertise as well.) And if there is an additional service you would like us to provide, tell us. Chances are other lawyers would like it too, and we'll be able to add it to our arsenal of useful tools.

Thanks for checking out our site. We hope you'll visit the essential economic resource for lawyers often.
