Frankenfeld's hourly fee for consultation and analysis is $175 plus expenses. A preliminary loss report, suitable for use in negotiations, discovery or deposition, can typically be completed for $800. The minimum court appearance fee is $800. Defense engagements by their nature are usually more time-intensive than plaintiff's engagements. 

As a matter of professional responsibility, Don Frankenfeld contributes 10% of his otherwise billable time, or 200 hours per year, to pro bono cases. Generally, it is expected that the attorney will also be working pro bono, or at substantially reduced fees. Unless special provisions are made in advance, each pro bono case is limited to approximately 10 hours at no charge. Direct expenses are reimbursable.
